Obama?? are you serious
Okay, so we all know that Obama and Biden are our next president and V.P. I as a McCain fan of course wanted him to win and not Obama. But it is good to make the best out of all situations, and i feel that Obama will be a "different color" when it comes to the president. He is the First African American to be the leader of the world. I have a feeling that citizens who own guns may have that right taken away. I really hope that his health care plan will not go through, it will be too difficult for tax payers to pay taxes and also help to get health care for all Americans. Obama did win by a landslide though he had 364 electoral votes and 65,293,083 popular votes. Leaving McCain with only162 electoral votes and 57,325,487 popular votes. Barack Obama has offered a detailed plan to get America’s economy back on track, by creating new jobs and easing the burden on hardworking Americans by offering middle-class tax cuts three times the size of McCain’s. Although i am not fond of his health care plan he has said he will reduce Americas health care payments down to 2,500. He will also provide more cancer screenings, and more open clinics that have more workers and can see more patients to ensure that America can be as healthy as possible.

Extra Credit v.p. debate
VICE PRESIDENT DEBATE EXTRA CREDIT
While watching the debate I learned a few things about Biden and Palin. Biden wanted to focus more on the middle class, because he felt that it was over looked due to the tax issues. When Palin was asked if their was any promises she promised that she couldn't keep, she replied that she had only been running for about 5 weeks and all the promises that were stated before the debate were still up and going. Biden had to change some of his promises but it really wasn't a big deal. Some topics that i felt was useful and informative were that when the debate was about to start and the v.ps were coming on the stage Palin whispered into Bidens ear and asked if he could call him Joe. I really had to think about what her method was behind having to address him in a very in formal way, but i came to the conclusion that she was either just trying to make it a little more comfortable for herself, or she was trying to make him sound less important by calling him plan Joe instead of Senator Joe Biden, or Senator Biden. I guess it can be taken into a few different ways. I also thought it was useful that Palin was connecting with real people she made alot of connections with the "Soccer Mom." It made her look more real, maybe not as professional but real for sure. Also when the candidates were asked about drilling in America Palin was knowledgeable about this because of the Alaskan Pipe line. Drill baby Drill was all she had to say. Biden wanted to have the windfall tax issue be in forced his idea was that every American would get 1,000 dollars rebate on gas from the leading gas company. Irrelevant and unimportant things that i felt were talked about were mostly the question about the climate change, i understand that the issue of global warming is a bug deal, but i felt there was more important things to talk about, during the timed debate. Biden commented on climate change, he said he believed that it was a man made problem and you can't change what has already been done. Also i felt that the talk about Pakistan and nuclear weapons were stretching it a little. Some topics in other debates would be alternative fuels which both support, they want to first focus on clean coal. They were asked about the Sub-prime mortgage situation and Palin said that the predator lenders, greed and corruption were to blame, and we will never live outside our needs again. Biden said it was the people who were spending money foolishly that were partly to blame, and the other part was the lenders. Another issue that I focused on was health care, this has been an on going issue, and both candidates have different approaches. biden wants Universal health care meaning everyone will have the same coverage, and Palin wants to have a 5,000 dollar health care rebate given to all Americans. Palin feels that the universal approach is way to bogged down and will never work. Biden feels that Palins way about the rebate will go to the insurance company and not to Americans. When the topic of same sex marriage was brought up they were both were for having benefits but not for the official marriage. Biden loves the idea that they can have an influence on emergency descions and also share the same health care. Palin feels the same way but added a little more to it by saying everything was okay as long as it would not be changing the term marriage and that marriage is indeed meant to be between only a man and woman. Iraq hit home for both Biden and Palin because both have a child in the war or in the reserves. Biden feels that they should cut off money to the war and shift Iraq people into positions that our soldiers are currently in today, he said we are spending 10 billion a month when Iraq has an 80 billion a month surplus. He feels it time to let them take over slowly again. and Palin said they need to stay and fight, she feels if they stop now when they are so close it will make many people who had family members die feel like it was a waste. Watching this debate has affected my idea on who i want as president and V.P and I am not 100 percent sure yet on who I will vote for. This has also made me search for more articles to read because I am more interested in the debate now more then ever. I always try to watch something about the election on t.v each night as well. All in all i felt the debate was handle in a great matter, even with Palins little winks and Bidens huge smirking smiles.

U.S.A -Going Bankrupt
Rumor has it that America's banks are going under, because of this, McCain announced last week he was "suspending" his campaign events to focus on the financial crisis, he felt this was the best way because having another depression is way more serious then campaigning.Democrats accused him of pulling a political stunt they have asked for a financial rescue package. The House of Representatives rejected a $700 billion plan to bail out the financial system, putting a roadblock in front of the largest government intervention in the market since the Great Depression. The bill failed by a vote of 205 to 228, with 140 Democrats and 65 Republicans voting in favor and 95 Democrats joining 133 Republicans against. McCain and Obama had both said Sunday that they would probably vote for the legislation, as long as it included some key principles they had pushed for. Republicans and Democrats blamed each other for the failure of the bill, which President Bush had urged Congress to approve.

McCain is on the Road to Michigan
I was reading on John McCain's website and i noticed that he would be in Michigan so i thought i would post about the times and places just in case anyone cared!!
John McCain is well on his way campaigning in Michigan. He will be traveling with His wife and Vice president Sarah Palin. He will be going to the Great Traverse Victory Center in Traverser's City Bay. This is one of his many stops in Michigan. The campaign is called his road to victory rally, and he plans on getting everyones vote. Another stop is Grand Rapids, where he will be speaking at the straight Talk Town Hall on sept ember 17th. I was reading about some new news on the McCain/Palin election and he has a a blog himself, i think that is kind of cool, but i am sure people are payed to write it for him. I read an article about how John feels about Hurricane Ike, and what he did to help. The article said that Cindy and John joined every American in offering prayers and assistance to those along the Gulf Coast reeling from the damage done by Hurricane Ike. I think that it is cool that he made an attempt to join those who were helping clean up after Ike. This hit home for me because I have family along the Gulf coast, so i was very in tuned to the stories about the Hurricane while they were being broad casted over the news. So it makes me feel like John really cares, beacuse knowing that even before he knows if he is president yet, he still makes a point to help out those in need.
Thats all for now, i need to go clean some dirty tanning beds!! haha but i do love doing homework while I am at work getting paid

Vice president
I feel that the 2008 electron is going to be one that Americans will never forget. I will be voting for John McCain because he is for the Republicans. I really like his vice president pick. Sarah Seems like she is a classic all- American woman and although she may have some family issues to deal with I feel that, that will only make her a stronger V.P. America is bashing her about her 17 year old daughter who is going to have a baby in about seven months, they are saying things like she can't control her daughter, how can she control the United States. I feel that is very unfair and I truly think she can handle being a grandmother and the V.P. John McCain would not have picked someone that he didn't think could handle it. She also has a baby that has downs syndrome and citizens are commenting about Palion not being able to give good care to her baby if she is the Vice president. I believe she can do a wonderful job, and its not like she is the only business women in the world that has a baby with downs syndrome, and a large family. Its not like she is raising a family all on her own, she has a very caring husband who as taken off of work to take care of the new born. I feel that is very responsible and it shows that he doesn't have to be the one who "brings home the bacon" and its OK if he acts as mister mom. PEOPLE magazine did an article about her and her family and from the article they seem like that they are really down to earth, she enjoys real life things and she defiantly isn't fake. Not one thing about her is fake. She was brought up in a normal family setting and was a great basketball player, in 1982 Palin led her team to the state title. In 2007 Palin visited U.S troops in kuwait, and she was also crowned Miss Wasilla in 1984. She is a well rounded person and i feel she has no secrets, she could have kept that her daughter was pregnat a secret but instead she was brave and told America. That was something personal, but it didn't phase Palin, she commented in PEOPLE Magaizen that its best to get the pregnecy out right away because it dosn't make her or her daughter a bad person, she says she is looking forward for her son Trig to have someone close in age to grow up with. It seems as though she is trying to make the best of something that you can't change and i look up to her for that. I feel we need a Real down home style Vice president in office. We live in an ever changing world and i feel Sarah is a great model of who we need to stand up for what we believe in.
